Before

This lady was unhappy with the bags under her eyes. These can be hereditary or develop with age. They are caused by either bulging fat or swelling. Bulging fat can be easily removed with a minor surgery. Swelling is due to allergies and/or sinus problems and cannot be helped by surgery, so it is important to determine the cause. In her case, it was just bulging fat.

After

I removed a small amount of fat from under each eye through a small incision just under the eyelashes. The scars from this surgery are usually almost invisible. It is important to not remove too much fat as this can give the eyes a hollow or gaunt appearance that is unattractive and almost impossible to correct. She was pleased and so was I.
