Before
This is an interesting lady, whose course with me spans 7 years. She desired breast augmentation and elected to move forward with insertion of saline implants. She was an active smoker and was counseled this might make her more likely to experience excessive tightness of the scar around the implants making the breasts too firm. This is exactly what happened. Her surgery was in 2013 and she initially had an exceptional result with very soft breasts that looked and felt natural. Four years later, still smoking, she came back and now had firm breasts with visible distortion in their shape. She decided to hold off an revising them. In 2020, she experienced deflation of the left implant. Implant failure is more common in women who developed contraction of the scar around their implant.
After
These photos show her before and after her revision. In addition to replacing her saline implants with new ones, I repaired the lower aspect of her right implant pocked that had stretched out a bit too much, causing her implant to sit lower than the left one. Her Mentor implant warranty provided her with two new implants free of charge and Mentor paid $1200 toward her surgery. She had quit smoking in 2019. Six months after this revision surgery, her breasts are more symmetrical and both are very soft.
