Patient - Breast Augmentation

This young lady had proportionately small breasts and wanted more fullness. Her cup size was a 34 B/C. She had one child with plans for more in the future. Her situation was perfect for breast augmentation with saline implants.
The pictures shown were taken six months after her surgery, which was done over 7 years ago. She was delighted with the result, as was I. Her postoperative bra size was a 34 D from Victoria's Secret and she had normal feeling in her breasts.
She returned to see me in 2017 for a routine checkup of her breasts. She was doing well and remained very happy with them. I thought she looked great and judged her to have slightly firm breasts that otherwise looked and felt very natural.
She returned again this year for another routine checkup and to ask when she needed to exchange these implants for new ones. She had a baby since the last visit and was able to breast feed successfully for a full year. She felt that her breasts had not changed. I disagreed. I felt that she looked more natural and was clearly softer than she was in 2017. Her result is exceptional in all respects (I did not take new photographs). I told her she does not need to replace these implants unless and until she has some problem with them. I have patients with saline implants for over 20 years that look and feel wonderful and I have removed saline implants older than 15 years for various reasons that look like the day I put them in. It is not true that implants need to be replaced every 10-15 years.
