Before

This young lady came in seeking to get back the volume in her breasts that she lost after having children. She was a full C cup and went down to a 34 A cup after her pregnancies. She wanted to be a D cup if possible. I offered her a breast augmentation with saline implants and she allowed me to determine the best size for her at the time of surgery. 

After

She is shown six months after augmentation with 425 cc Mentor smooth, round, moderate profile saline implants filled to 450 cc. Her postoperative bra size is a DD in a Victoria's Secret bra and a D cup in most others. She has normal sensitivity inn both breasts. Her appearance and the feel of her breasts is almost perfectly natural. 

There are two interesting points to this patient. Her breasts were naturally asymmetrical with a larger left breast. Placing identical size implants essentially corrected this as often happens. I performed her surgery ten years ago and she returned recently for additional cosmetic surgery. Her breasts remain almost exactly as they were then, very soft and natural appearing. She asked if she needed to replace them due to their age and I told her the same thing I tell every patient who asks this question. There is no need to replace implants simply because of their age. As long as the breasts look and feel nice I recommend leaving them alone, unless there is a specific problem or patient desire that justifies further surgery.
