Before

This lady was diagnosed with cancer of her left breast and elected to have the breast removed. She desired breast reconstruction. She presented some challenges, including a 100 lb weight loss after stomach surgery and breasts that I could not duplicate with implants. She was not a good candidate for using her own tissue. I recommended placing a tissue expander, followed by later exchange for an implant, and the nipple/areola reconstruction, a three stage process. 

After

She is shown after completing the process. I placed an expander at the time of her mastectomy and successfully filled it to 780 cc. At her second stage, I removed the expander and put in a 575 Allergan Style 15 gel implant and performed a lift on the right breast. The result was unsatisfactory because she was too small and did not match well. At the third stage, I performed a nipple/areola reconstruction and simultaneously put a 213 cc implant in on the right and exchanged the left implant for an 800 cc device. Her implants are Allergan 410, Style MF textured, form stable implants. She is very pleased and so am I.
