Before

This lady presented with massive breasts (40 H bra cup size) and problems with her back, neck, and shoulders; rashes under the breasts; and painful, deep grooves in her shoulders from her bras. Her insurance company approved this surgery as medically necessary.

After

She underwent a breast reduction with removal of nearly 5 lb of breast tissue total. Because of her large size and dimensions, the nipples were moved to their new position as a graft. This is safer but results in loss of feeling and, in patients with a darker skin color, can result in loss of pigmentation, as in her case. This can be simply fixed by medical tattooing. Most patients don't really care about this and opt out.

She said that she obtained near complete relief of all of her presenting symptoms from her breasts. This is a fairly typical outcome for this surgery.
