This 17 year old came in with her mother to discuss a breast reduction. Despite her young age, she 32 FF cup breasts and was miserable with constant pain in her back, neck, and shoulders since she was 14 years old. She went through twice weekly physical therapy for 3 months without relief. Support bras did not help, nor did muscle relaxants. Breast reduction in someone so young is unusual and I spend a lot of time discussing the down side of the surgery, including the permanent scars, possible inability to nurse later, and loss of feeling. She did not let any of this stop her in moving forward. 

After

She is shown 6 months after removal of 747 grams from the left and 755 grams from the right. This is about 1.7 lbs from each breast, a sizeable reduction. Her new bra size is a D cup. Because she is so young, her scars will take a little longer to fade, but should eventually be very inconspicuous. She just might be able to nurse later because of how the surgery was done. Her back, neck, and shoulder aches are totally gone.
