This delightful lady in her 70's came in to have her large, uneven breasts reduced. Her bra size was a 44-46F. Her left breast was very nearly twice the size of the left. she had all the usual symptoms: back, neck, and shoulder pain, painful grooves in her shoulders. Nothing she tried brought relief. 

After

I performed a bilateral breast reduction on her, removing 818 grams from the left breast and 422 grams on the right. The total of 1240 grams was nearly two and three quarter pounds. Because of her large size, I performed the surgery using nipple grafts- removing the nipple/areola complexes at the start of surgery and putting them back on as grafts at the end of surgery. This has been 100% successful in my experience but, because of the loss of sensation, I only use it on the largest breasts. She was extremely happy with the outcome and all of the pain she came in with was gone after surgery. She is still slightly larger on the left, but the symmetry is much better and she is content with this. When there is this much asymmetry before surgery, there will almost always be some after surgery as well. I did not get a bra size for her after surgery because she now wears only sports bras.
