Before

This lady presented with severe, unremitting infections under her breasts and under the apron of skin and fat in the lower abdomen. Her breasts were a 44 DDD cup. She presented with many challenges but clearly needed some relief. After appropriate counseling we elected to do her abdomen first, then the breasts later. Because of her problems, her insurance covered both procedures, the breasts entirely and a portion of the abdominal surgery.

Her postoperative course was smoother than I expected. She had issues with fluid build in the abdomen after surgery but this resolved with a period of extended drainage of the area. She did very well with the breast reduction. Over 8 1/2 lbs was removed from the abdomen and 3 1/3 lb from the breasts. She stated that her presenting problems were "100%" resolved.
